The Georgia World Congress Center is located in the center of Downtown Atlanta, at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NE. The GWCC includes the convention center, along with the Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia Dome. The most important part is that they are all located near other great points of interest such as the Philips Arena and CNN Center.

The Georgia World Convention Center is the fourth largest convention center in the United States at 130,000. The GWCC hosts a variety of events each year, during which it welcomes more than a million visitors. The GWCC campus spreads over 1.4 million square feet of prime exhibit space, and includes 105 meeting rooms, 12 exhibit halls, 2 ballrooms, the Georgia Dome with 71,500 seats and the Centennial Olympic Park (21 acres).

The convention center was deigned by local architects and consists of three adjacent buildings, called A, B, and C. The largest is Building B, with five exhibit halls and the huge Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom (3,065m2).

The Georgia World Convention Center also has a Starbucks coffee shop, internet access, a gift shop, a food court and a concierge desk. Transportation within the complex is ensured by the freight rail tracks, while pedestrian bridges make the connection between exhibit halls.

The GWCC is one of the world’s best convention, entertainment and sports venue. The convention center opened its doors in 1976 with over (32,516 m2) of exhibit space. At the time, it was the first convention center owned and operated entirely by the state.

With over 92,000 hotel rooms to choose from, Atlanta has a wide range of lodging possibilities. The Georgia World Congress Center is placed nearby some of the major hotels in Atlanta. To see a list of hotels within walking distance of the convention center check out: BookYourStay.com
